The problem
Why a ringing phone costs patients.
Roughly one in three calls to a clinic rings out, and most of those callers never call back.
An IVR ("press 1 for appointments") loses older patients and anyone in a hurry.
After-hours calls go to nobody. The patient with a fever at 10 pm finds a clinic that answers.
The receptionist is on one call while two more wait, and the doctor's day fills unevenly.
A voice tool that only speaks Hindi and English loses the Kannada, Tamil, Telugu and Bengali callers.

How Pluxo solves this
A voice agent that books, not just answers.
Real conversation, not an IVR
The caller says what they need in their own words. The agent asks the one or two questions a receptionist would, and books.
Books into the doctor's real slots
It knows each doctor's consulting hours and slot length. It never offers a time that does not exist and never double-books.
Confirms on WhatsApp mid-call
The slots go to the caller's WhatsApp while they are still on the line; they tap one to confirm. Fewer misheard names, no callbacks to fix a time.
Escalates properly
Emergencies get clear instructions. Requests outside hours, or callers asking for a person, reach your team on WhatsApp with the transcript and a tap to approve.
Your number, your caller ID
Forward your existing number. Callers see and dial the number they always have. Switch it off whenever you want to answer yourself.
Every call recorded and summarised
Transcript, outcome and what the caller wanted, in the dashboard, so the front desk knows who to chase and why.
How a call goes
When the patient wants a time you don't offer.
An example with a made-up clinic. The caller speaks Kannada; it is shown here in English.
Pluxo
Hello, this is Nandi Clinic's AI receptionist. This call may be recorded. How can I help?
Patient
Can I come on Sunday? I work all week.
Pluxo
The clinic is closed on Sundays. The closest slot is Saturday at 5:30 in the evening. Shall I send it to your WhatsApp?
Patient
Saturday doesn't work. Can the doctor see me Sunday morning?
Pluxo
I'll ask the team and they'll confirm on WhatsApp. I've noted your name and number.
Your team
A WhatsApp arrives with the transcript and two buttons, Yes and No. You tap one and the patient is told.
Voice agent or IVR
Nobody has to press 1.
An IVR reads a menu and waits for a key. Older patients hang up, and anyone in a hurry presses 0 and waits. A voice agent listens to what the caller says in their own words, asks the one or two questions a receptionist would, and books.
It also hears what the caller means. “Acidity” goes to a physician or gastroenterologist, not to cardiology because the word “heart” appeared in “heartburn”. A fall goes to orthopaedics, not to whoever has a free slot.
Languages
11 languages, and it follows the caller.
The receptionist speaks English, Hindi, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Punjabi and Odia. It answers in the language the patient starts in and switches if they do, so a caller who opens in Hindi and drifts into Kannada is never asked to repeat themselves.
You choose which languages your clinic offers and which one it greets in. A clinic in Pune might greet in Marathi and offer Hindi and English. A clinic in Bengaluru might offer five.
What it costs
One published price, minutes included.
Core is ₹2,999 a month plus GST. It includes 250 AI call minutes every month, unlimited WhatsApp, reminders and follow-ups, and your first doctor. There is no setup fee and no commission on bookings.
Paying for a longer term takes 8 percent off quarterly and 20 percent off yearly. Extra doctors start at ₹999 a month each and get cheaper as the team grows. If a busy month uses more than the included minutes, top-ups cost ₹5.50 to ₹7.50 a minute depending on the pack, bought ahead from the dashboard.
Every figure here is the same one on the pricing page, which also works out the total for your number of doctors and term. For how this compares with other tools sold to Indian clinics, see the AI receptionist pricing guide.
What it does not do
Where it stops, on purpose.
A receptionist that oversteps is worse than one that misses a call. These are the lines Pluxo does not cross.
- It does not give medical advice, a diagnosis or a dose, even when a caller insists. It says the doctor will look at it properly and offers a slot.
- In an emergency it tells the caller to hang up and call their local emergency number, before anything else.
- It does not read out reports or approve prescription refills. It notes the request and your team follows up.
- It never offers a time that is not in a doctor’s real schedule, and never double-books.
- It does not pretend to be human. It says it is the clinic’s AI receptionist in its first sentence.
- It does not quote a price you have not given it. Anything it cannot answer goes to your team on WhatsApp, with the conversation attached.
