The problem
Why clinic calls quietly go unanswered.
The doctor is with a patient, the receptionist is billing another, the phone rings out. That caller books the next clinic on Google.
"What are the timings?", "How much is the consultation?", "Is the doctor in today?" are answered fifty times a day by the person who should be seating patients.
After 8 pm and on Sundays there is nobody. Patients in pain do not wait until Monday.
A receptionist who speaks Kannada loses the Hindi caller; one who speaks Hindi loses the Tamil caller.
Appointments are noted on paper or in a WhatsApp thread, reminders depend on someone remembering, and no-shows quietly eat the afternoon.

How Pluxo solves this
One receptionist for calls and WhatsApp.
Answers the phone like your best receptionist
It introduces itself, says it is the clinic's AI receptionist, and answers from your own facts: doctors, timings, fees, services, directions. Nothing generic, nothing invented.
Books into your real calendar
Each doctor's consulting hours and slot length are modelled. The receptionist only offers slots that exist, books the one the patient picks, and confirms on WhatsApp.
Speaks the patient's language
English, Hindi, Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Bengali, Marathi, Gujarati, Malayalam, Punjabi and Odia. It follows the caller, and switches if they do.
Phone and WhatsApp, one brain
A patient can call, be sent the slots on WhatsApp, and confirm there. Both channels know the same things about your clinic and the same booking.
Reminders and follow-ups, automatic
Day-before and same-day reminders, no-show recovery, review requests after the visit, recalls when a check-up is due. Your desk does none of it by hand.
Knows when to hand over
A request outside consulting hours, an emergency, or a caller who wants a person: your team gets a WhatsApp with the transcript and a tap to confirm. Nobody is left unanswered.
How a call goes
A call after closing time, start to finish.
An example with a made-up clinic. The clinic closed at 8. The patient calls at 8:40 and speaks Hindi; it is shown here in English.
Pluxo
Good evening, this is Sharma Clinic's AI receptionist. This call may be recorded. How can I help?
Patient
I need to see Dr. Rao tomorrow. I've had acidity for three days.
Pluxo
Dr. Rao sees patients tomorrow from 10 to 1. I've sent the open slots to your WhatsApp. Tap the one that suits you.
Patient
Done. 11:20.
Pluxo
You're booked with Dr. Rao at 11:20 tomorrow. You'll get a reminder on WhatsApp in the morning. Anything else?
Your team
Next morning, the booking is already in Dr. Rao's calendar, with the call transcript beside it.
Where the booking lands
Bookings go into your real calendar.
Each doctor's consulting hours and slot length are set once. The receptionist only offers times that exist, so a 15-minute review and a 40-minute first consult are never booked the same way.
It syncs with Google Calendar both ways. Appointments it books appear in the doctor's calendar, and anything blocked there is unavailable to it. When a patient asks for a time outside consulting hours, your team gets a WhatsApp with a Yes or No to tap, and the patient hears back once you decide.
Languages
11 languages, and it follows the caller.
The receptionist speaks English, Hindi, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Punjabi and Odia. It answers in the language the patient starts in and switches if they do, so a caller who opens in Hindi and drifts into Kannada is never asked to repeat themselves.
You choose which languages your clinic offers and which one it greets in. A clinic in Pune might greet in Marathi and offer Hindi and English. A clinic in Bengaluru might offer five.
What it costs
One published price, minutes included.
Core is ₹2,999 a month plus GST. It includes 250 AI call minutes every month, unlimited WhatsApp, reminders and follow-ups, and your first doctor. There is no setup fee and no commission on bookings.
Paying for a longer term takes 8 percent off quarterly and 20 percent off yearly. Extra doctors start at ₹999 a month each and get cheaper as the team grows. If a busy month uses more than the included minutes, top-ups cost ₹5.50 to ₹7.50 a minute depending on the pack, bought ahead from the dashboard.
Every figure here is the same one on the pricing page, which also works out the total for your number of doctors and term. For how this compares with other tools sold to Indian clinics, see the AI receptionist pricing guide.
What it does not do
Where it stops, on purpose.
A receptionist that oversteps is worse than one that misses a call. These are the lines Pluxo does not cross.
- It does not give medical advice, a diagnosis or a dose, even when a caller insists. It says the doctor will look at it properly and offers a slot.
- In an emergency it tells the caller to hang up and call their local emergency number, before anything else.
- It does not read out reports or approve prescription refills. It notes the request and your team follows up.
- It never offers a time that is not in a doctor’s real schedule, and never double-books.
- It does not pretend to be human. It says it is the clinic’s AI receptionist in its first sentence.
- It does not quote a price you have not given it. Anything it cannot answer goes to your team on WhatsApp, with the conversation attached.
Running in a real clinic
What two weeks at one clinic looked like.
EQUA, a centre for obesity care in HSR Layout, Bengaluru, runs its front desk on Pluxo. In its first two weeks the receptionist answered more than 100 calls and booked more than 65 appointments into its doctors’ real slots.
Those are EQUA’s own numbers. We name a clinic only when it has agreed to be named, and quote only figures it produced.
